We are looking to hire a therapist for our Therapists Abroad program. There are many Americans who live abroad. And depending what country one lives in, one might not be able to speak their language, their cultural differences might be too great, or therapy might be frowned upon and thus, therapists are hard to come by. Not only that, but most Americans, especially those that are abroad, feel more comfortable and at ease with other Americans, who understand their culture. We are looking for a therapist with the following experience: couples counseling, marriage counseling and sex therapy. Must have 5 years experience. Hours are early as this position will be for Americans living in Europe. This means anywhere from 6am - 3pm, depending on your client's needs and their schedules. Some days will vary and be later than others. You will be communicating via Skype so you must own a computer with a camera.

This unique internship opportunity involves a year long commitment during which time the intern will gain an exciting educational experience working with several other accomplished therapists. Typical issues that clients present with: anxiety, anger management, depression, eating disorders, grief, and sexual dysfunction. Treatment opportunities include individual therapy, family therapy, couples therapy and sex therapy. The intern will be expected to see clients three days a week (12-17) clients a week, and work at least one of these days in the evening, and one day on a weekend. The sessions will be video-taped, and weekly supervision is offered for one hour. The supervision increases to two hours a week once an intern’s case load is at full capacity. Interns are also required to write one self-help tip per week. This internship is an impressive addition to an aspiring counselor’s resume!
