Philosophy
My philosophy about therapy is that each individual in unique and so are the problems they present in therapy. I try to look for common ground with my clients and to focus on the goals they feel most strongly about. I believe that therapy is a wonderful growth process and I always try to meet my clients where they are at, helping to shape and nurture their goals. I provide a warm and open space for my clients to explore their feelings and develop insights.
Degree(s), Certification(s) & Work History
I obtained my bachelors degree in psychology from Immaculata University in 2008, graduating magna cum laude. I received my Masters in Clinical Psychology from West Chester University in 2010 and am currently working towards licensure. While completing my undergrad, I was a part of a poster presentation about The Effects of child Centered Parenting on Adoptive Children at the EPA conference in 2007. As a graduate student, I published an article along with a colleague about bereavement group therapy specifically for college and graduate students. My work experience includes working for 2 years as a TSS, MT, and BSC for The Devereux Foundation providing behavioral support for children and families in their homes and communities. I completed a one year internship at The Center for Growth and have become an employee as an individual, couples, and sex therapist in 2010.
